FASHION BLOGS.

Fashion blogs are crucial news and inspirational sources for everyone who wants to stay up-to-date about fashion. These blogs are therefore both visually and with regard to content in competition with traditional media.

Fashion blogs raise many questions. Who are the persons behind the blogs? What moves fashion bloggers to spend so much time on running a web log? Who or what are their news resources? Can we speak of them as professional amateurs? Do they earn a living with blogging? Has blogging changed their life? How do they deal with negative comments? How do they view the future of printed media? Kirstin Hanssen and Felicia Nitzsche carried out a research.
The main content of the book is divided into five categories: fashion journalism, street style photography, party photography, personal style blogs, men’s style.

Bloggers around the world have been interviewed and the interviews are supported by visual blog material. A separate index holds more than five hundred of fashion blogs URLs. Featured are: Style Bubble, Garance Doré, A Shaded View On Fashion, Glamcanyon, Sea of Shoes, Stil in Berlin, Abdul Lagerfield, Street Etiquette, Les Mads, The Streethearts, Pretend It Never Happened, Moderniteter, Kate Loves Me, The Dandy Project and many more.
An important book about a phenomenon that is conquering the world by storm. And at the same time, a visual spectacle which presents today’s fashion in all its aspects.
